There are two different ways for the IELTS test, i.e. Paper-based format or Computer Delivered IELTS test. On the other hand, the CELPIP test is entirely computer-based. In the listening section, the CELPIP test uses Canadian native speakers to evaluate the English abilities of an applicant whereas, the listening of IELTS test uses various native English speakers from different countries including, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the USA and the UK.
Both the CELPIP test and IELTS test have their own scoring systems. The CELPIP test score ranges from 1 to 12 for each test section, and the IELTS test score ranges between 1 to 9 for each test section.
Duration and Result
The IELTS test has no fixed duration to complete. Like the IELTS Speaking test is generally taken for another day with a different venue.
On the other hand, the CELPIP exam takes 3 hours to complete the test in a single day for all four modules. The results are declared for both tests within two weeks after the exam.
Both The IELTS and CELPIP are open for all individuals looking to study, work or immigrate. Only an individual should know which test is suitable for them.
